2011 Sognefjordlag Stemne
Dubuque, Iowa
August 11 13, 2011

The winsome town of Dubuque,
overlooked by rocky bluffs on the Mississippi River, was chosen as the site
for the 2011 Sognefjordlag Stemne. It was founded as the first white settlement
in Iowa by French-Canadian lead miners in 1788. In the nineteenth century it
became a boisterous river port and logging center. Buildings from this era still
stand. You'll love exploring this historic city. Our meetings will be held in
the Hotel Julien
at 200 Main Street Dubuque. Block reservations have been made for our members
with rooms reserved at $99.00 per night.
Phone 563-5656-4200 and ask for rooms reserved for Sognefjordlag.
